Advisory Council

As the Founding President of Agrani New Jersey, I established the organizational foundation and spearheaded its fundraising strategy, directing the planning and execution of our signature Bengali cultural celebrations, Durgostav and Vaisakhi. Beyond honoring our cultural heritage, these events served as a vehicle for generating meaningful contributions to charitable causes through partnerships with organizations such as Hands of Hope, Manvi, and the YMCA Domestic Abuse Initiative. As the Executive Advisor for Agrani , I am working as the central bridge between the Executive Committee and the Board of Trustees, fostering transparency, cohesion, and a unified sense of purpose across both bodies. In this capacity, I guided the Executive Committee in translating Agrani’s mission into action — ensuring that every initiative undertaken reflected our commitment to empowering women and strengthening our community.

Professionally, I serve as a Licensed Sales Professional at Allstate, where I was recognized as the top LSP in New Jersey on two occasions. I hold a Master’s Degree in Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics from Calcutta University, completed a Business Analytics course at ITM in the United States, and obtained my insurance licensing education through George Weiss Insurance School. Beyond my professional pursuits, I am a trained Indian classical dancer in Bharatnatyam and Manipuri, having received my training from Rabindra Bharati University.
